The theme for World Physical Therapy Day 2017 will be "Physical activity for life". Focus will be placed on the need for healthy adults to be physically active throughout their lifespan.
Globally, physical inactivity is a major public health problem, with around 26% of adults aged 18 and over not active enough. Throughout the materials emphasis will be given to the role of physical therapists to keep people moving through advice and exercise programmes, along with how they support people of all ages to achieve activity goals.
Look out for the toolkit to be launched next month.

Data from Physiopedia
WCPT's professional partner, Physiopedia, is looking to share its data in the public domain to enable the global physiotherapy profession to learn and develop from it.
